He’s dope! And if you don’t already know this, then you certainly shouldn’t miss this show on June 5th at Masquerade!

Blazing Arrow has to be one of the illest releases of the 2000s. The Craft was dope too, but B.A. was hella dope for proving how to make art on a major label. MCA had a crazy lineup at that point. 4th Dimensional Rocketships was kinda scatterbrained conceptually, but Gift’s lyricism is still unquestionable.

Wow! i remember the first time i heard gift of gab. It was one of the most amazing things i ever heard. I still remember exactly what i was doing and who i was with. even the time. It was 4:20 i was in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with a couple of friends from school back home in Atlanta, we all gathered around for 420, one of the cats looked over at me and asked if i had heard a group called Blackalicious. I didn’t know. Well of coarse i have all of them yelling at me now, and 3 secs later after formal bitching i heard blazing arrow for the first time. I never felt something so awesome. I got home and the next day i got the album. I now have spent the last 7 years loving and never getting sick of gift of gab. Now my fav album is 4th dimensional spaceships flying up (so amazing, if you never heard it). 2nd fav is soulsides greatest hits. All good shit.

Also, be sure to get there early for Big Gigantic. Dominick will be on tables/saxophone (normally at least) and his drummer (don’t know his name but he’s sick) — definitely some fresh beats from those two.
