SMKA and Young Scolla are using a relatively unique platform, rarely seen in indie hip-hop, to raise money to complete their upcoming album. They have 60 days to raise $4,000, or they don’t get anything. They also hope to raise awareness for the program, and perhaps sway other indie artists to attempt the same thing, foregoing label involvement. They are offering everything from a high five ($2+) to a release party in your home town ($1,000).

As one of the first leaks of off Unique Squared’s Beatz & Lyrics 2 Go Mixtape, The newly reunited Artifacts blast through with Big Deal prod. by 44th P. In case you missed it, Artifacts haven’t recorded together in a pretty long time so yes, this pretty much IS a big deal. And as if that weren’t enough, Senor KAOS, Homeboy Sandman, & Buff1 have a track featured on the Unique Squared A3C recap video which is produced by D.R.U.G.S. called The Maschines.
I think it’s safe to say that this year was the largest, most action-packed A3C to date. I hope everyone who made it out had a great time. he A3C has just wrapped up our best Thursday night ever! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets online early and everyone who walked up and purchased on-site.
