A3C ‘09 Artists Submission
The expanded format of 2009’s A3C means that we will have more room than ever for unsigned artists. If you are interested in performing at the A3C please apply through our Sonicbids submission form. This is the easiest way for us to sort through the many artists reaching out to perform. All paid appications receive a free three day event pass regardless of acceptance.
UPDATE: Sonicbids submissions are now closed! Thanks to everyone who submitted. We’re continuing to search through the entries and have already found some amazing stuff. Everyone who submitted will be notified via email, and we’ll include the steps for obtaining a free 3-day pass (for those note selected). Artists interested in performing at next year’s A3C should email artists [at] a3c2009.com.

Dear Management of A3C
We have the honor writing this to you and it is a great pleasure coming across your contact on the net.
To start with, Highlevel is an African Hip hop Group from the country of Liberia, a country located in the West part of Africa. A Group that has in her agenda two (2) great albums being produced by Foreign producers.
We wish to come for this upcoming Festival of yours and every necessary information for us being part of this festival will be needed. We want to come on this Festival to enable our Culture and that of yours being exchanged.
Thanks for your cooperation and we look forward hearing from you soon.
Manager of Highlevel
T-Jay
Hi T-Jay,
Thanks for your interest. We are accepting artist submissions through Sonicbids here. We look forward to hearing your music!
To charge $15 dollars through Sonicbids is a scam when you only state you hold limited spots for Sonicbid users. Glad to see you are just like every other “pay2play” production company out there. If not all slots are for sonicbids, where do the others sign-up?!?!? Not here as we can all see…. If there were options it would not seem like such a scam…
A fee I understand, but $15 is overkill for only a local know festival.
TG
Hi Really-
I’m sorry you feel that way. Each artist that submits through Sonicbids gets a thorough look from our team. We’ve been proud to book some amazing talent using this process in past years. The “limited” spots are a minimum number of spots that we guarantee from this process, but our main goal is to program the best content possible and we use a variety of methods. For less-known talent, Sonicbids is the route that makes the most sense.
Another thing to consider is that each artist who submits through Sonicbids receives a 3-day pass to the festival. If you are not selected this year, this provides an opportunity for you to still be a part of the event, and to hopefully open up new opportunities.
Booking and promoting upcoming and independent artists has always been a priority of the festival. We hope you’ll reconsider.
Thanks,
Big Andy
Big Andy,
To follow up on the comment made above, specifically what are the other methods you use to select performers? If you are unknown, is sonicbids the only way you can get in? I have a sonicbids account, but what about those individuals who don’t subscribe to sonicbids or don’t want to?
For unsigned talent who wish to be considered for the festival, Sonicbids is the main route. We program the remainder of the festival with the cooperation of our sponsors, local promoters, and booking agents for established national acts.
I appreciate the opportunity and definitely look forward to attending and or/plus performing at the festival peace.
Dear Management of A3C
My name is Chris Matthews of CD Music Management. Recently I got a email from Brian Knott who we know from the Atlantis Music Conference. last year we sponcer fifthteen groups from Chicago and made contact with many around the country. Brian inform me that the conference was not in business this year, but we could get involve with A3C. We would like to bring groups from this area and volunteer to network our service a far. Please contact us at cdmusicmanagement@hotmail.com or chrisdmatt@gmail.com ASAP we would love to get started. This year we have been working with TMG street pride and affiliate of Warner Music Group as a Developing Coordinator this could be a very big networking contact for new artist trying to get sign in the MUSIC BUSINESS.

Blackeddie ya’ll…peace
Regarding the SonicBids comment about $15 being a scam… think about it THIS way… it’s a lot cheaper than pressing demo CD’s, printing 8×10 glossy photos, printing one-sheets, packaging, postage and everything else that goes into the old skool press kits, plus the time and effort it takes to get your foot in the proverbial door of the venue/festival. It’s the sign of the times… either love it or don’t. :) Peace!!
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
Everyone, please note that the deadline for Sonicbids submission is JULY 17TH, as we need time to go through all the submissions and give everyone a good listen.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted!
Hey,
It says to submit through sonicbids and that the deadline is july 17th, but it says the submission is not open right now. I think our Organic Hip Hop band would go well with this Festival- check us out at CertifiedOrganicHipHop.com or Sonicbids.com/HardawayAndTheCommoners. Look forward to hearing from you soon
